While my training and career has been in writing and I am always writing—most everything I’ve published has been commercial, executive, and ghostwriting work under another’s name.  Here are the publications out there that I have contributed to as myself.

The LDS publications which I have contributed to are under my married name as Valerie Wise Christensen. Gauri Devi is the name given to me by my spiritual guide and is for me more of an internal compass to my practice. However, the use of this name on the GROWING UP collaboration represents the wider ministry and intent of the publication to uplift young adults with practically applied, timeless tools.

Life Lessons from Fathers of Faith: Inspiring True Stories About Latter-Day Dads

This inspiring collection shares true stories of Latter-day Saint fathers and grandfathers whose faith, integrity, and love have shaped generations. Through personal narratives and reflections, Life Lessons from Fathers of Faith highlights the quiet strength and guiding influence of righteous men in the lives of their families and communities.

I was privileged to contribute a chapter to this anthology, sharing an excerpt of my biography of my grandfather Hyrum Waldo “Chris” Christensen—a man of humble hard work who served as a dedicated church leader in Long Beach and Watts for 30 years, including during the turbulent 1960s riots in Los Angeles. His life stands as a testament to faith in action, steady service, and the power of quiet, unwavering leadership in times of crisis.
